Notes:

Please aim to arrive 5-10 minutes early
to allow for finding the space and transitioning etc.
If you are coming to a Newport Class,
please see directions below,
please look at the attached map for parking:
and note that the parking lot for our Newport Location
is BEHIND St. Paul's church on the corner of Charles Street.
It's NOT the main parking lot you that is visible on Marlborough Street.


Please leave shoes and coats on the chairs in the waiting area: 
this allows us to keep our classroom space clean and clear!

Remember that every child learns differently:
with their own unique ways of being and learning in a group setting. 

Let go of any "performance" expectations on your child,
and allow them to be just as they need to be
for this precious first visit. 
Some may be sitting and watching,
others may be moving & exploring the space,
some may be sounding & singing, etc. 
As our program has 3 years of curriculum available,
keep in mind this is like a child taking a 'first step'
in our group Musical experience together:
we watch the first step loving, joyfully
and knowing that this 'moment' is just the beginning!

What's most important is that all the adults join into the experience, 
to help create a rich musical environment for the children:
we're all part of the music-making community. 
And here's news: no musical experience or 'abilities' is required! 
So, let go of any thoughts about your own 'performance quality' with the music,
and just focus on being present
and remembering that children learn & grow through play: 
Your having fun will help them grow!

Remember: registration spots for the upcoming semester
are first given out to currently enrolled families
in our 3 year program,
and then spots are made available for New Families
on a "first register-first served basis."
Early registration is highly recommended to ensure placement in the program.  
For people who register early, 
there is no obligation until you've actually come to class,
either at the first day of class, or for those coming to the Open House, at 'Demo Class'. 
For people who haven't registered before the Open House,
it can be helpful to bring your filled-in registration form with you,
along with payment via check or credit card,
so that you can register after class.
